At the London Planning Awards last night, Dollar Bay was awarded Best New Iconic Building or Scheme. According to the judges, they were “impressed by its high quality architectural design”. This isn’t the first accolade that recognises the development’s high quality design. In 2017, the London Evening Standard selected it as Home or Development of Outstanding Architecture Merit and the project was named the residential gold winner at the London Design Awards.
Dollar Bay also picked up the Mayor's Award for Excellence in Environmental Planning at The London Planning Awards.
Now in its 15th year, the awards ceremony is organised in partnership with the Mayor of London, London First, RTPI, Planning Officers Society and London Councils, to recognise and reward best practice in planning in the capital. The awards ceremony took place at Whitehall Palace, Banqueting House last night and was attended by 300 senior representatives from the boroughs, City Hall, developers, planners and community groups.
