Our work on the Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC), delivered in partnership with Edinburgh based Reiach and Hall Architects, was successful at the Scottish Design Awards this month, winning the award for 'Education Building or Project' of the year.

Completed last year, the 7000m² facility located at the heart of UCLan's Preston Campus delivers a high-quality learning environment and integrated space for teaching and research. Described by the judging panel as representing 'the very best of educational contemporary design,' we have created a shared workspace that encourages interaction, engagement and creativity, and also inspires the development of long-term partnerships.

The Scottish Design Awards are organized by Urban Realm and The Drum, who describe the event as a singular celebration of the best projects drawn from around the country. We are thrilled to see our project at UCLan acknowledged as an innovative and state-of-the-art teaching facility with this award.
