The Social Mobility Foundation (SMF) is a charity which aims to make a practical improvement in social mobility for young people. Working across 11 sectors in 7 UK cities, the Foundation supports high-achieving individuals by partnering with professionals who can contribute to their professional development.
As a practice, encouraging young people into the architectural profession is important to us, and we're extremely proud to support the Social Mobility Foundation. Partnering with SMF, this year we welcomed two work experience students to our Manchester studio, helping them to explore their professional interests further and offering them an insight into the world of architecture through one-on-one mentoring.
It has been wonderful to host students passionate about gaining a real insight into the sector and have the potential to get into the profession in the future. We are proud to be working alongside the Social Mobility Foundation and to be supporting young people in reaching their full potential.
