We're pleased to share the news that Co-Founding Partners, Rachel Haugh and Ian Simpson, have been personally selected to appear in Place North West's inaugural Scene Power in Property list.
The list of 50 of the most influential individuals in the North West property market is a celebration of the unique generation of property developers, civic and business leaders reshaping the region at a relentless pace, often in the face of fierce economic headwinds.
Place North West and Scene hosted a celebratory event on Thursday 3rd February at the Everyman Theatre in Manchester which included a special screening of a short film that was produced for the occasion.
The film explores what's behind the regeneration revival that's sweeping through our cities and town centres and takes a closer look at the spaces and places that have taken on new lives, thanks to spectacular redevelopment.
Rachel and Ian were interviewed in the short film, sharing their thoughts about the recipe for success in the North West and the significance of excellent public-private relationships:
Rachel Haugh
"It's a fantastic interrelationship of the public and private sector that really should be celebrated, because it's particularly special to Manchester and the region. The real strength is the stability and continuity of the civic and political leadership that we've had here in the North West."
Ian Simpson
"I think quality of public space, quality of built form, and quality of space that people can occupy, whether in a residential or commercial environment, are fundamental... to embrace investment and change."
The short film gives an interesting insight into the positive impact these developments are having, with each new project meaning investment, jobs, homes, parks, public spaces, and business, which are breathing new life into local communities and bringing new opportunities.
