Exploring the future of urbanism through the lens of one of the UK's exemplar cities, on Friday 4 October 2024 The Academy of Urbanism's Manchester Conference, 'Quality of Life: Remaking the Post-industrial City', will be taking place.

As a culturally and historically significant city, Manchester is regularly at the forefront of national discussions around the future of urbanism. Through talks and tours, the event will explore themes of An Old City for Young People, Degendering the City, and Culture's Lifeblood.

Co-Founding Partner Ian Simpson has been invited as a keynote speaker at the conference and will be presenting a talk at the conference entitled: Evolving the Next Gen City. Ian will be exploring the idea of 'An Old City for Young People', with a particular focus on our work in the New Jackson area.
