On Thursday 1st February 2024, we were pleased to host a Roundtable Breakfast event on behalf of the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard at the SimpsonHaugh-designed NOMA Pavilion in Manchester.
The UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard is an industry wide initiative which will enable organisations across the whole built environment to define their assets and buildings as Net Zero Carbon. In the year and a half since it was first launched, it has made significant progress, as set out in its latest Quarterly Update in December 2023 - Home | UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard. The team behind the Standard is now looking to spread the word further and prepare the ground for its widespread adoption.
The Roundtable was Chaired by David Partridge, UK NZCBS, who provided an overview of the Standard and how it is being developed in order for key stakeholders from within the real estate industry to engage and provide feedback regarding the critical issues that may arise throughout the Standards evolution and implementation.
Following the Roundtable, MEPC and NOMA kindly provided a tour of the recently completed 5* NABERS rated 4 Angel Square, which was also designed by SimpsonHaugh.
A big thank you to the attendees and their valued contributions.
