Last week we joined our client Unite Students and some of the design team atop the project’s windy roof on level 33 in celebration of New Wakefield Street’s topping out. This was followed by a tour of one of the fully fitted-out cluster apartments on Level 2.
The student accommodation tower in Manchester’s city centre will soon be known as ‘Artisan Heights’, in reference to the site’s background in machine and tool manufacturing. It’s anodised aluminium façade incorporates perforated panels which take reference from the cast iron ventilation grilles of the iconic Principal Hotel. Comprising of 603 bedrooms and studios, students will have access to a range of amenities including study, meeting and entertainment rooms as well as lounge areas with incredible views on level 32. We’re looking forward to see the project continue to progress toward completion later this year!
